A town of 200 that swells to 3,000!

The Dingo Race Day is a classic country race day that draws a crowd from across the region every year.

What’s on
Five race program, Fashions on the Field, Dingo Trap Throwing, kids rides, canteen and bar all day. Kick things off Friday 21 August with the Calcutta at the track from 5pm.

Fashions on the Field
Categories for all ages including Little Lady, Gentleman of the Track and Best Dressed Couple. Nominations close at noon. A Mystery Judge will also be roaming the crowd — two surprise winners selected on the day.

Dingo Trap Throwing
Nominate at the Secretary’s Office on the day. $5 entry. Prize money for men and women — $300 first, $150 second, $50 third.

Getting there
Courtesy buses from Blackwater, Bluff and Duaringa. Check the bus schedule for times.

Camping
Free camping with toilets, showers and Sunday breakfast on site. No power — generators welcome.

Tickets
Online only via Eventbrite — no gate sales. Download before you arrive, phone service is limited on race day.
